Resumo

Popular e rebelde, o adolescente Landon Carter está ameaçado de expulsão da escola depois que ele e seus amigos deixam evidências de que beberam nos terrenos da escola e o que acaba ferindo gravemente um outro estudante como o resultado de uma brincadeira que deu errado. A diretora da escola dá a Landon a escolha de ser expulso ou expiar suas ações por tutoria colegas e participando da peça da escola. Plot

Popular and rebellious teenager Landon Carter is threatened with expulsion from school after he and his friends leave evidence of underage drinking on the school grounds and seriously injure another student as the result of a prank gone wrong. The head of the school gives Landon the choice of being expelled or atoning for his actions by tutoring fellow students and participating in the school play. During these functions, Landon notices Jamie Sullivan, a girl he has known since kindergarten and who has attended many of the same classes as him, and is also the local minister's daughter. Since he's one of the in-crowd, he has seldom paid any attention to Jamie, who wears modest dresses and owns only one sweater. Jamie is labeled an outsider and a geek. She makes no attempt to wear make-up or otherwise improve her looks or attract attention to herself.

Landon has trouble learning his lines for the play. Jamie, who is also in the play, agrees to help him on one condition: Jamie warns Landon not to fall in love with her; he laughs it off and dismisses it as a foolish idea. Landon and Jamie begin practicing together at her house after school. They get to know each other and a spark of affection arises between them.

On the opening night of the play, Jamie astounds Landon and the entire audience with her beauty and her voice. Onstage at the peak of the ending to the play, Jamie sings. When Jamie finishes, Landon improvises and kisses her which is not a part of the play. Afterwards, Jamie avoids Landon, and it is not until Landon's friends play a cruel prank on Jamie and he protects her in opposition to his friends that she warms up to him again. Landon asks Jamie on a date soon after, but Jamie says her father doesn't allow her to date. Landon asks her father if he can date his daughter, bringing up that he's looking for a chance at redemption with her and at life through her. Reluctant at first, he gives in.

On their first date, Landon helps Jamie to fulfill her list of things she wants to achieve in life, such as being in two places at once, and getting a tattoo. After that, they go to the docks. Jamie tells Landon about how she experiences belief and how it's like the wind. It is then that he tells her he might want to kiss her now. On another date, where Jamie is very silent and unfocused, Landon asks Jamie what her plans for the future are. She then confesses she isn't making any because she has leukemia and hasn't been responding to treatment. A desperate Landon asks for his father's help in curing her, but is disappointed by his reply and heads on a long drive home thinking about Jamie.

One by one, his friends become aware of the tragedy looming for Jamie and Landon. They give their support to him. Jamie's condition grows worse and she gets sent to the hospital. While in the hospital, Jamie gives Landon a book that once belonged to her mother. She states that maybe God sent Landon to her to help her through the rough times and that Landon is her angel. Unbeknownst to Landon, Jamie is given private home care by Landon's estranged father, relieving her father's financial burden. Landon visits his dad, tearfully thanking him for his help. They embrace and are reunited.

Landon is building a telescope for Jamie to be able to see a one-time comet in the springtime. Jamie's father helps him get it finished in time. The telescope is brought to her on the balcony. She gets a beautiful view of the comet through the new telescope. It is then that Landon asks her to marry him. Jamie tearfully accepts, and they get married in the church in which her deceased mother got married. Jamie and Landon spend their last summer together, filled with a deep love like no other. Jamie dies when summer ends.

Four years later, Landon has finished college and been accepted into medical school. Landon visits Reverend Sullivan to return to him Jamie’s precious book that belonged to her mother. Landon apologizes to the Reverend that Jamie did not witness a miracle (an ambition she expressed in the class yearbook). The Reverend disagrees saying that in fact she did and that her miracle was Landon. He is shown to have completely changed his original opinion of Landon in the beginning of the film, where he completely detested Landon and did not hide it.


Landon visits the docks contemplating the belief that although Jamie is dead, that she is with him. It is then that he understands love is like the wind; you can't see it, but you can feel it.

A Bruxa | The Witch (2016)

A Bruxa é um filme de horror escrito e dirigido por Robert Eggers, em sua estréia na direção. A trama segue uma família puritana que encontrou as forças do mal na floresta para além da sua exploração agrícola de Nova Inglaterra. A Bruxa ganhou o Prêmio de direção nos EUA na categoria dramática no Sundance Film Festival de 2015. O filme foi lançado nos cinemas em 19 de Fevereiro de 2016 pela A24.

Resumo

No século 17, William é excomungado de uma plantação Puritana Cristã em Nova Inglaterra ao lado de sua família, esposa Katherine, filha Thomasin, filho Caleb, e os gêmeos fraternos, Mercy e Jonas -devido ao crime de "arrogância orgulhosa". Como resultado, a família é exilada e depois de um dia de viagem, eles encontram um pedaço de terra junto à margem de uma grande floresta para começar sua nova vida. Katherine começa a suspeitar de Thomasin é culpada pelo desaparecimento de Caleb, bem como pelo o desaparecimento de sua taça de prata. William revela a Katherine sobre a negociação da prata. As bruxas levitam no ar. Thomasin se junta a elas e também sobe acima da terra, rindo.

The Film

The Witch (stylized as The VVitch and titled onscreen with the subtitle A New England Folktale) is a 2015 horror film written and directed by Robert Eggers, in his directorial debut. The plot follows a Puritan family encountering forces of evil in the woods beyond their New England farm. The Witch won the Directing Award in the U.S. Dramatic category at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. The film was theatrically released on February 19, 2016, by A24.

Plot

In the 17th century, William is excommunicated from a Puritan Christian plantation in New England alongside his family—wife Katherine, daughter Thomasin, son Caleb, and fraternal twins Mercy and Jonas—due to the crime of “prideful conceit”. As a result, the family is exiled and after a days travel, they find a spot of land by the edge of a large forest to start their new life. Several months later, they've built a house and farm and Katherine has given birth to her fifth child, Samuel. One day, while Thomasin is playing with Samuel, the baby vanishes. We see a red-cloaked figure running away through the woods carrying the baby, and later killing him and using his blood and fat to make a flying ointment, which she rubs over herself.

Katherine is devastated by Samuel's disappearance and spends her days crying and praying to God. William takes Caleb hunting for food when he discovers their crops are failing. Caleb confronts his father about whether Samuel made it to Heaven or not since he was not yet baptized, and William reveals to Caleb that he traded Katherine's silver cup for hunting supplies. They are unsuccessful in their hunt, spotting only one large rabbit, which they fail to kill when William's gun misfires, injuring his face. Back on the farm, the twins play with the black goat, whom they call Black Phillip. After returning, Caleb lies to Katherine on William's behalf that they went looking for apples. That night, William and Katherine discuss bounding Thomasin out, a common 17th-century practice whereby young women were sent away to work in another household to learn domestic skills expected of a typical housewife.

The next morning, Thomasin joins Caleb on a hunting trip. They encounter the hare Caleb and William saw the day before. Their dog runs after the hare and Caleb follows. Their horse panics and throws Thomasin, knocking her unconscious. Caleb eventually finds their dog disemboweled and finds the witch's home. She appears to Caleb as a young woman and lures him before grabbing him. William and Katherine look for Thomasin and Caleb. Thomasin awakens and returns to the farm, but Caleb is gone. Katherine grows suspicious of Thomasin and blames her for Caleb's disappearance, as well as for the disappearance of her silver cup. William reveals to Katherine about trading her silver. Thomasin later finds Caleb naked and weak.

The twins accuse Thomasin of being a witch, as she had joked about it earlier. Caleb begins to have a fit and the family prays over him. Caleb is seemingly broken free from the evil spell cast over him after coughing up a bloody apple. He passionately proclaims his love for Christ before dying in the presence of his family. Thomasin continues to be accused of witchcraft, where she in turn accuses the twins of being witches due to them constantly talking to Black Phillip. Enraged at the behavior of his remaining children, William boards Thomasin and the twins in the stable for the night before burying Caleb. William later admits his sins of pride to God while Thomasin listens. Later, the witch enters the stable, begins drinking the blood of the goats, and frightens Thomasin and the twins. Inside the house, Katherine sees a vision of Caleb and Samuel and begins breast-feeding Samuel. In reality, "Samuel" is a raven who proceeds to peck Katherine's breast, leaving her bloodstained the following morning.

The next day, William finds the stable destroyed and the twins gone. He is then gored by Black Phillip and killed. Thomasin is attacked by Katherine, who blames her for everything that has happened. Katherine attempts to strangle Thomasin but, in self defense, Thomasin stabs Katherine to death. That night, Thomasin talks to Black Phillip. Rather than starve to death or face persecution for witchcraft, the desperate and lone Thomasin agrees to serve him. Black Phillip takes the form of Satan, offering Thomasin a chance to "live deliciously". She agrees and Satan commands her to strip naked, and helps sign her name in his book. Having sold her soul, Thomasin then follows Black Phillip deep into the forest where she eventually comes across a bonfire surrounded by a coven of nude witches engaging in Sabbat. The witches levitate into the air. Thomasin joins them and also rises high above the Earth, laughing.

Resumo

O filme se passa em um mundo alternativo do Egito, onde o mundo é plano e os deuses vivem entre os humanos mortais. O panteão egípcio distingue-se dos seres humanos por sua maior altura, o sangue de ouro, e a capacidade de se transformarem em forma animal.

Após um reinado de paz, o rei Osiris dá o trono a seu filho Hórus, com o casal de camponeses Bek e Zaya entre a multidão. No entanto, durante a coroação Osíris é morto por seu irmão ciumento Set, que assume o trono e declara um novo regime de onde os mortos terão que pagar para passar para o além. Horus duela com Set na forma da deidade, mas é dominado, e durante o caos Bek se separa de Zaya. Set teria matado Horus, mas a amante de Horus, Hathor implora por sua vida, de modo que se contenta arrancando os olhos de Horus, que são a fonte de seu poder, banindo-o para o deserto.

Horus e Bek viajam para um santuário de montanha de Ra, e o deus do sol concede temporariamente a Horus seus poderes para que ele e Bek possam falar com ele. O resgate de Bek de Zaya no submundo é, portanto, interrompido por Apophis tentando atacar o submundo, só realizou na baía temporariamente por Anubis. Bek retorna ao mundo mortal, onde Horus pede desculpas e os dois determinam derrubar Set, capturando Urshu para que ele possa orientá-los através obelisco de Set. The Film

Gods of Egypt is a 2016 fantasy film featuring ancient Egyptian deities. The United States-Australia production is directed by Alex Proyas and stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Brenton Thwaites, Chadwick Boseman, Elodie Yung, Courtney Eaton, Rufus Sewell, with Gerard Butler and Geoffrey Rush. Butler plays the god of darkness Set who takes over the Egyptian empire, and Thwaites plays the mortal hero Bek who partners with the god Horus, played by Coster-Waldau, to save the world and rescue his love.

Plot

The film takes place in an alternate world Egypt, where the world is flat and the gods live among mortal humans. The Egyptian pantheon is distinguished from humans by their greater height, golden blood, and ability to transform into animal-like form.

After a reign of peace, king Osiris turns over the throne to his son Horus, with the peasant couple Bek and Zaya among the crowd. However, during the coronation Osiris is killed by his jealous brother Set, who seizes the throne and declares a new regime where the dead will have to pay with riches to pass into the afterlife. Horus duels Set in deity form but is overpowered, and during the chaos Bek is seperated from Zaya. Set would have killed Horus, but Horus' lover Hathor begs for his life, so Set settles for tearing out Horus' eyes, which are the source of his power, and banishing him to the desert.

A year passes, during which Set marries Hathor and commissions a grand obelisk tower to be built in honor of his father Ra. Bek has found Zaya among the slaves building the monument, under the ownership of the chief architect Urshu. Believing that Horus is the only one who can defeat Set, she steals scrolls from Urshu's library which give the floorplans to Set's treasure vault. Maneuvering through one of them, Bek steals one of Horus' eyes from the vault, but returns to find Urshu has found out about their theft. Bek and Zaya escape, but she is mortally wounded in the process and dies shortly thereafter.

Bek arrives at Horus' prison, where he makes a bargain with the blinded god: one of his eyes and Bek's knowledge of how to get into Set's tower in exchange for Horus bringing Zaya back from the dead. Horus agrees, though not telling Bek that he cannot resurrect the dead. Their time is limited, as in a few days Zaya will complete her journey through the underworld but at the end will have no riches to pay passage to the afterlife. With only a single eye, Horus can not assume deity form. Meanwhile, Set discovers that a thief has stolen the eye from his vault, then later that Horus is no longer in prison.

Horus and Bek travel to a mountain shrine to Ra, and the sun god temporarily grants Horus his powers so that he and Bek may speak to him. The two come aboard his divine vessel above the Earth, but Horus is unable to convince Ra to regrant him his power, as Horus has not proven worthy to be king in Ra's eyes. Nor is Horus able to convince Ra to descend to Egypt and fight Set on his behalf, as Ra is both disinterested in their conflict and daily at war with an enormous shadow beast, Apophis, that threatens to devour the world. Nevertheless, Horus obtains divine waters from Ra's vessel, which if poured in Set's shrine would nullify the power of the desert and so weaken Set. Horus and Bek return to the mortal world, fighting off Set's warriors on the way.

Set sets out to obtain other gods' powers in order to increase his might. Having already gained Horus' eye and Osiris' heart, he confronts his former wife Nephthys and cuts off her wings for himself. Hathor attempts to divine Horus' location in secret, but Set discovers her and sees she still loves Horus instead. He attempts to kill her but at the last moment, she removes a protective bracelet given to her by Horus. This bracelet contains 42 jewels representing the 42 demons Horus slayed in order to release Hathor from her role as Mistress of the West. In that role, Hathor was obligated to the underworld. As she removes the bracelet, the demons take her back to the underworld but she saves herself by putting the bracelet back on before she reaches the underworld, eventually returning to the mortal world and reaching Bek and Horus. Hathor saves them from Set's assassins Astarte and Anat, and reveals to them that Set's shrine is protected by a riddling sphinx. The group heads to the library of Thoth for help, certain that he will be wise enough to answer the sphinx's riddle. Thoth initially refuses, thinking it unwise to oppose Set, but he is eventually persuaded and joins their group.

Arriving at Set's shrine, the gods and human overcome its traps, including the sphinx, to reach the source of Set's power. But before they can pour the divine water in, Set intercepts them and reveals Horus' deception to Bek: that he would be unable to bring Zaya back from the dead. Set destroys their flask of divine water, steals Thoth's brain, and collapses the shrine on them. Horus saves his allies' lives with his strength, but Bek is furious at him for lying about Zaya, who is just moments away from being judged too poor for the afterlife. Hathor then sacrifices her own safety for Zaya, giving up her protective bracelet to Bek. Hathor is then kidnapped by the underworld's demons, but the bracelet will let Zaya pay her way to the afterlife.

Having obtained the powers of the gods, Set travels to Ra, appealing to his father for approval. Ra claims that Set's prior banishment, his favoritism of Osiris, and Set's infertility, and his subsequent conquest as king, were all tests for Set to take his true role, taking Ra's place as the defender of the world aboard his solar barge. Set is dismayed to hear his destiny was to rule alone above the planet until he dies, when his desire was for Ra to grant him immortality in his mortal kingdom. He then casts Ra off the boat, using his combined deity powers and then taking Ra's staff for his own, deciding to let Apophis consume both the mortal and immaterial realms, so that Set may create a new world where he is immortal.

Bek's rescue of Zaya in the underworld is thus interrupted by Apophis attempting to attack the underworld, only held at bay temporarily by Anubis. Bek returns to the mortal world where Horus apologizes and the two resolve to take down Set, capturing Urshu so that he may guide them through Set's obelisk. While Set calls down Apophis on Egypt, Horus battles him on the monument's peak but is heavily outmatched. However, Bek comes to his rescue and takes the other eye off of Set's armor. He throws it to Horus but falls off the obelisk, and Horus chooses to save Bek instead. This act restores Horus' power, and he battles Set until Horus brings down the obelisk and kills him. He then finds Ra and returns his staff to him, letting the sun god repel Apophis once more.

Horus is restored as king and his other eye found and returned, but Bek has been killed. Having saved Ra, though, his grandfather repays Horus by bringing Bek and Zaya back to life. The other gods have their attributes restored, and Horus is crowned king and declares the afterlife will be open to the good doers of the world. Bek is made chief advisor, and he gives Horus back the bracelet, letting Horus rescue Hathor from the underworld.

After a vicious assault by the Sisters nearly kills Andy, Hadley beats Bogs severely. Bogs is sent to another prison and Andy is never attacked again. Warden Samuel Norton meets Andy and reassigns him to the prison library to assist elderly inmate Brooks Hatlen. Andy's new job is a pretext for him to begin managing financial matters for the prison employees. As time passes, the Warden begins using Andy to handle matters for a variety of people, including guards from other prisons and the warden himself. Andy begins writing weekly letters asking the state government for funds to improve the decaying library.

In 1954, Brooks is paroled, but cannot adjust to the outside world after 50 years in prison, and hangs himself. Andy receives a library donation that includes a recording of The Marriage of Figaro. He plays an excerpt over the public address system, resulting in him receiving solitary confinement. After his release from solitary, Andy explains that hope is what gets him through his time, a concept that Red dismisses. In 1963, Norton begins exploiting prison labor for public works, profiting by undercutting skilled labor costs and receiving bribes. He has Andy launder the money using the alias Randall Stephens.

In 1965, Tommy Williams is incarcerated for burglary. He is befriended by Andy and Red, and Andy helps him pass his GED exam. In 1966, Tommy reveals to Red and Andy that an inmate at another prison claimed responsibility for the murders for which Andy was convicted. Andy approaches Norton with this information, but he refuses to listen and sends Andy back to solitary confinement when he mentions the money laundering. Norton has Hadley murder Tommy under the guise of an escape attempt. Andy refuses to continue the laundering, but relents after Norton threatens to burn the library, remove Andy's protection from the guards, and move him to worse conditions. Andy is released from solitary confinement after two months, and tells Red of his dream of living in Zihuatanejo, a Mexican coastal town. Red feels Andy is being unrealistic, but promises Andy that if he is ever released, he will visit a specific hayfield near Buxton, Maine, and retrieve a package Andy buried there. He worries about Andy's wellbeing, especially when he learns Andy asked another inmate to supply him with six feet (1.8 meters) of rope.

The next day at roll call, the guards find Andy's cell empty. The furious Norton throws a rock at the poster of Raquel Welch hanging on the cell wall, revealing a tunnel that Andy dug with his rock hammer over the last 19 years. The previous night, Andy escaped through the tunnel and prison sewage pipe, using the rope to bring with him Norton's suit, shoes, and the ledger containing details of the money laundering. While guards search for him, Andy poses as Randall Stephens and visits several banks to withdraw the laundered money, then mails the ledger and evidence of the corruption and murders at Shawshank to a local newspaper. The police arrive at Shawshank and take Hadley into custody, while Norton commits suicide to avoid arrest.

After serving 40 years, Red is finally paroled. He struggles to adapt to life outside prison and fears he never will. Remembering his promise to Andy, he visits Buxton and finds a cache containing money and a letter asking him to come to Zihuatanejo. Red violates his parole and travels to Fort Hancock, Texas to cross the border to Mexico, admitting he finally feels hope. On a beach in Zihuatanejo he finds Andy, and the two friends are happily reunited.

Resumo

The Film

Toy Story 3 is a 2010 American 3D computer-animated comedy-drama film, and the third installment in the Toy Story series. It was produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by Lee Unkrich, the screenplay was written by Michael Arndt, while Unkrich wrote the story along with John Lasseter and Andrew Stanton, respectively director and co-writer of the first two films. The film was released worldwide from June through October in the Disney Digital 3-D, RealD, and IMAX 3D formats. Toy Story 3 was the first film to be released theatrically with Dolby Surround 7.1 sound.

Plot

Andy, now 17 years old, is about to leave for college, and his toys have not been played with for years. He intends to take only Woody with him, and puts Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the other toys in a bag to be stored in the attic. Andy's mother mistakenly takes the bag to the curb for garbage pickup. The toys escape and, believing Andy intended to throw them away, decide to climb into a donation box with Barbie bound for Sunnyside Daycare. Woody follows them but is unable to convince them of the mistake.

Andy's toys are welcomed by the other toys at Sunnyside, and are given a tour of the seemingly idyllic play-setting by Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear ("Lotso"), Big Baby, and Ken, with whom Barbie falls in love. All of the toys choose to stay, except Woody, who attempts to return to Andy, but is instead found by Bonnie, one of the Sunnyside students. She takes Woody home and plays with him along with her other toys, which are well-treated. Meanwhile, at Sunnyside, a group of toddlers play roughly with Andy's toys.

Buzz seeks out Lotso to request to have them moved to the older children's room, but Lotso, who controls Sunnyside ruthlessly, refuses, explaining that the newer toys need to be sacrificed to the younger children to protect the older ones, indifferent to damage or suffering they might endure. Seeing promise in Buzz, he resets him to his original space ranger persona, which also resets his memory. At the same time, Mrs. Potato Head, through an eye she accidentally left in Andy's room, sees Andy searching for the toys and realizes Woody was telling the truth. However, before they can leave, Andy's toys are imprisoned by Lotso's gang, guarded by Buzz.

At Bonnie's house, a toy named Chuckles explains to Woody that he, Lotso and Big Baby once had a beloved owner named Daisy. When the toys were accidentally left behind by Daisy's family during a trip, they made their way back to her house, only to find that Lotso had been replaced, causing Lotso to become embittered and cruel.

Woody returns to Sunnyside and learns from a Chatter Telephone toy that there is only one way out of the daycare: the trash. He reconciles with Andy's other toys and begins planning a way out of Sunnyside. That night, the toys execute their escape, but accidentally reset Buzz to Spanish mode instead of his old persona. Buzz promptly allies himself with Woody and falls in love with Jessie. The toys reach a dumpster, but are caught by Lotso and his gang. As a garbage truck approaches, Woody reveals what he learned about Lotso and tosses Daisy's ownership tag, which Chuckles had kept, to Big Baby. Lotso smashes the tag and claims that toys are meant to be discarded, but this leads an enraged Big Baby to throw Lotso into the dumpster. As the toys try to run away, Lotso pulls Woody into the dumpster just as the truck collects the trash. The rest of Andy's toys fall into the back of the truck while trying to rescue him, and a falling television lands on Buzz, restoring his memory and normal persona.

The truck deposits the toys at a landfill, where they find themselves on a conveyor belt leading to an incinerator. Woody and Buzz help Lotso reach an emergency stop button, only for Lotso to abandon them and escape. The toys resign themselves to their fate, but are rescued at the last second by the Aliens operating an industrial claw. Lotso is found by a garbage truck driver who straps him to his truck's radiator grill and drives away. Woody and his friends board another garbage truck back to Andy's house.

In Andy's room, Woody climbs into the box with Andy's college supplies, while the other toys ready themselves for the attic. Woody leaves a note for Andy, who, thinking the note is from his mother, takes the toys to Bonnie's house and introduces her to them. Bonnie recognizes Woody, who, to Andy's surprise, is at the bottom of the box. Though hesitant at first, Andy passes Woody on to Bonnie, and then plays with her before leaving. Woody and the other toys watch Andy's departure as they begin their new lives with Bonnie.

Later, Barbie, Ken and Big Baby have made vast improvements to Sunnyside, and maintain contact with Woody and his friends through letters.

Plot

At Fashion Interpol, Valentina Valencia examines the expressions of recently assassinated pop singers' last images and discovers they match Derek Zoolander's trademark look, "Blue Steel". A flashback reveals that the Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good collapsed, killing Matilda Jeffries and injuring Hansel McDonald. Derek later loses custody of his son, Derek Zoolander Jr., and announces his retirement from modeling and subsequent reclusion.

Derek now lives alone in "extreme northern" New Jersey. Billy Zane visits and gives him an invitation to the House of Atoz fashion show by Alexanya Atoz, and persuades him to return to a regular lifestyle in order to regain custody of his son. In the "uncharted Malibu territories", Hansel returns to his home after dinner and is informed by his orgy that they are all pregnant and that he is the father. He is later given the same invitation by Zane. After reuniting, Derek and Hansel are tracked down by Valentina, who asks them to help Interpol uncover who is behind the systematic assassinations.

However, Derek Jr. becomes disgruntled with his father and returns to the orphanage. Hansel receives an anonymous call, requesting that he travel to St. Peter's Basilica at midnight. He, Derek, and Valentina go to the church and meet with Sting, who tells them the tale of Adam and Eve and the little-known Steve, who many rockstars have died to protect. It is said that Steve is the common ancestor of all models and that he and his closest descendant (Derek Jr.) hold the bloodline of the Fountain of Youth.

Derek returns to the orphanage, only to find it in disrepair and his son and the Headmaster gone. He travels to Jacobim Mugatu's isolated prison, but is captured, while Mugatu escapes. Mugatu leaves on a helicopter while Hansel stows away by hiding on top of the propeller. Derek and Valentina swim back to Rome while Hansel infiltrates the House of Atoz. He witnesses Mugatu reunite with Alexanya and kill Don Atari. Hansel finds Derek Jr. imprisoned and reunites with Derek and Valentina at the IncrediBALL. They enter a bathhouse through a rear entrance and witness Derek Jr. strapped to a table.

Mugatu and many of the world's fashion designers prepare to cut out Derek Jr.'s heart and consume his blood, believing it to grant them eternal youth as it contains the blood of Steve. Derek, Hansel, and Valentina stop Mugatu from proceeding and he reveals that he brought together the world's fashion designers to kill them as revenge for leaving him imprisoned. Alexanya, who is actually Katinka Ingabogovinanana, attacks Valentina, while Mugatu tells Derek that he was behind the destruction of his Center by hiring the construction crew to build a faulty base. He then throws an explosive towards the lava. Derek manages to stop it with "Magnum", but he struggles to keep it suspended in mid-air. Sting arrives and reveals that he is Hansel's father, and they, along with Derek Jr., successfully hurl the explosive back at Mugatu, killing him. Derek Jr. forgives his father for his mother's death and Derek and Valentina confess their love for each other. Matilda's ghost gives them her blessing and says that Mugatu live-streamed the event.

Six months later, Derek and Hansel have returned to modeling. Derek and Valentina have a daughter named Darlene, while Derek Jr. is now in a relationship with Malala Yousafzai. Hansel returns to living with his orgy and is now the father of 10 children.

Plot

In the early 18th Century while sailing to Port Royal, Jamaica, Governor Weatherby Swann, his daughter Elizabeth, and Lieutenant James Norrington encounter a burning shipwreck and recover a young boy, Will Turner. Elizabeth hides a golden pirate medallion owned by Will so as to protect him, and sees a ghost ship vanishing into the fog. Eight years later, Norrington is promoted to the rank of Commodore and proposes to Elizabeth, but her tight corset causes her to faint and fall into the sea. Elizabeth is wearing the medallion she took from Will. As soon as the medallion touches the water it summons the Black Pearl. She is rescued by Captain Jack Sparrow, who Norrington identifies as a pirate. Sparrow came to Port Royal intending to commandeer a ship. Jack attempts to escape but runs into Will, now a blacksmith and talented swordsman. They engage in a duel but Jack is captured by Norrington’s men and imprisoned.

That night, the Black Pearl, the ship Elizabeth saw as a child, assaults Port Royal in search of the medallion. Two pirates, Pintel and Ragetti, escort Elizabeth to meet Captain Barbossa to negotiate parley. Elizabeth says her last name is Turner to conceal the fact that she is the governor's daughter, but while Barbossa stops the attack he takes her prisoner. Barbossa reveals to Elizabeth that his crew are cursed to be immortal after taking the Aztec treasure of Cortez from Isla de Muerta, appearing as skeletons in moonlight. In order to free themselves, the crew has been gathering all 882 gold pieces and giving blood sacrifices, but still need the last piece and Elizabeth’s blood to lift the curse.

Will frees Jack from prison to rescue Elizabeth, Jack agreeing to when he learns Will’s last name. They commandeer the HMS Interceptor by pretending to steal the HMS Dauntless and recruit a motley crew from Tortuga, including Jack’s friend Joshamee Gibbs. Jack reveals that Will’s father, Bootstrap Bill, was a pirate. Will learns that Jack was captain of the Black Pearl until Barbossa mutinied and marooned him on an island, leaving him with a pistol with a single shot that Jack never used, intending to shoot Barbossa. Arriving at Isla de Muerta, Will and Jack observe Barbossa trying to commence the blood ritual; it fails because Elizabeth is not the child of Bootstrap Bill. Will rescues Elizabeth and brings her to the Interceptor, while Jack reunites with his former crew and is locked in the Pearl’s brig.

Jack and Barbossa duel, but when Barbossa runs Jack through, he is revealed to be cursed too, having taken a piece of gold from Cortez’s chest. Jack shoots Barbossa, with Will revealing the curse has been lifted by fulfilling the blood ritual, and Barbossa drops dead. A short time later, Jack faces a public hanging, but Will attempts to rescue him. The two are captured, but when Elizabeth defends them both, Jack escapes aboard the Black Pearl. Governor Swann pardons Will and gives his blessing for Elizabeth to marry him. In a post-credits scene, Barbossa’s pet monkey Jack regains immortality by stealing a piece of gold from the chest.

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is a 2004 American black comedy fantasy film directed by Brad Silberling. It is a film adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, covering the first three books The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, and The Wide Window. The film stars Jim Carrey as the villainous Count Olaf who adopts three wealthy orphan siblings in an attempts to steal their late parents' fortune.

Plot

Lemony Snicket (Jude Law) is documenting the whereabouts of the Baudelaire children from inside a clock tower. Violet Baudelaire (Emily Browning), her intelligent brother Klaus (Liam Aiken), and their baby sister Sunny (Kara and Shelby Hoffman) are orphaned when a mysterious fire destroys their house. Mr. Poe (Timothy Spall), in charge of the Baudelaire fortune, entrusts them to their closest relative, Count Olaf (Jim Carrey), who only wants their money and makes them do harsh chores.
On the day Olaf receives full custody, he drives to a gas station and claims that he is buying soda, but it turns out Olaf parked the car directly on railroad tracks in hopes of it getting hit by a train. Thankfully, Violet and Klaus are able to turn the direction of the train so it doesn't hit them. Mr. Poe then arrives at the scene and mistakes Sunny for driving the car. He then takes the children away, but Olaf promises he will find them.
The orphans are then taken to stay with Dr. Montgomery Montgomery (Billy Connolly), a kind, caring, and rather lonely (until the children came along) herpetologist planning to take the children with on a study in Peru. However, Olaf arrives in disguise as an Italian scientist named Stephano. Violet tries to tell Monty the truth, but he thinks Stephano is after a snake called The Incredibly Deadly Viper. Monty is found dead the following morning and authorities have been tricked into thinking the viper was responsible, but Sunny is able to prove it is actually a gentle creature.
Mr. Poe again takes the children to live with their Aunt Josephine (Meryl Streep), an irrationally afraid woman who is obsessed with proper grammar. While shopping at a market, Violet and Klaus encounter Olaf, disguised as a sailor named Captain Sham who pretends to be romantically interested in Josephine. When the Baudelaires get home after shopping, Josephine is gone and a hurricane is approaching. Klaus decodes a note Josephine had left and discovers she is in Curdled Cave. During the hurricane it is discovered in a secret room there were people investigating fires. The children escape the house before it falls to the lake.
After sailing Lake Lachrymose the children find Josephine, but before they reach civilization their boat is attacked by leeches, and Olaf appears, and kills Josephine by pushing her into the waters after she corrects his grammar.
The Baudelaires are then placed back in Olaf's custody. Olaf and Violet are then immediately involved in a play called The Marvelous Marriage, which involves their characters being married. However Olaf has set up the performance to be an actual legal marriage because the law states if relatives are married they are entitled to their spouses' money. Olaf enlists the help of his neighbor Justice Strauss (Catherine O'Hara) to perform in the "play" and unwittingly officiate the marriage. Olaf explains to Violet that Sunny is being held hostage in a cage and if Violet does not say her "lines" or finds a loophole, Sunny will fall to her death. The ceremony goes as Olaf planned and he reveals that the marriage is legal, to the horror of the judge and audience.

Klaus escapes and finds a secret part of Olaf's estate. After adjusting an eye-shaped window Klaus realizes that it was Olaf that caused their family mansion to catch fire. Klaus uses the window to burn the marriage certificate, foiling the Count's plans. Olaf is tried for his action and sentenced to be put through the hardships he had caused the children, and a life sentence in prison. However, when a jury of his peers overturn his sentence, Olaf escapes. Violet, Klaus and Sunny are allowed to visit their old home one last time. A letter lost in the mail finally arrives, and inside is a spyglass announcing their family's secret society. Snicket recounts that despite the children's misfortune, they still had each other thus making them "Very Fortunate Indeed".
