Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a 2003 American fantasy swashbuckler film based on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney theme parks. It was directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The story follows pirate Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) as they rescue the kidnapped Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) from the cursed crew of the Black Pearl, captained by Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), who become undead skeletons at night.

Plot

In the early 18th Century while sailing to Port Royal, Jamaica, Governor Weatherby Swann, his daughter Elizabeth, and Lieutenant James Norrington encounter a burning shipwreck and recover a young boy, Will Turner. Elizabeth hides a golden pirate medallion owned by Will so as to protect him, and sees a ghost ship vanishing into the fog. Eight years later, Norrington is promoted to the rank of Commodore and proposes to Elizabeth, but her tight corset causes her to faint and fall into the sea. Elizabeth is wearing the medallion she took from Will. As soon as the medallion touches the water it summons the Black Pearl. She is rescued by Captain Jack Sparrow, who Norrington identifies as a pirate. Sparrow came to Port Royal intending to commandeer a ship. Jack attempts to escape but runs into Will, now a blacksmith and talented swordsman. They engage in a duel but Jack is captured by Norrington’s men and imprisoned.

That night, the Black Pearl, the ship Elizabeth saw as a child, assaults Port Royal in search of the medallion. Two pirates, Pintel and Ragetti, escort Elizabeth to meet Captain Barbossa to negotiate parley. Elizabeth says her last name is Turner to conceal the fact that she is the governor's daughter, but while Barbossa stops the attack he takes her prisoner. Barbossa reveals to Elizabeth that his crew are cursed to be immortal after taking the Aztec treasure of Cortez from Isla de Muerta, appearing as skeletons in moonlight. In order to free themselves, the crew has been gathering all 882 gold pieces and giving blood sacrifices, but still need the last piece and Elizabeth’s blood to lift the curse.

Will frees Jack from prison to rescue Elizabeth, Jack agreeing to when he learns Will’s last name. They commandeer the HMS Interceptor by pretending to steal the HMS Dauntless and recruit a motley crew from Tortuga, including Jack’s friend Joshamee Gibbs. Jack reveals that Will’s father, Bootstrap Bill, was a pirate. Will learns that Jack was captain of the Black Pearl until Barbossa mutinied and marooned him on an island, leaving him with a pistol with a single shot that Jack never used, intending to shoot Barbossa. Arriving at Isla de Muerta, Will and Jack observe Barbossa trying to commence the blood ritual; it fails because Elizabeth is not the child of Bootstrap Bill. Will rescues Elizabeth and brings her to the Interceptor, while Jack reunites with his former crew and is locked in the Pearl’s brig.

The Pearl pursues the Interceptor, taking the crew hostage and destroying the ship. Will makes a deal with Barbossa to release Elizabeth in exchange for lifting the curse, but Barbossa maroons Jack and Elizabeth on the same island Jack was left on before. Elizabeth makes a smoke signal using Jack’s hidden supplies, alerting the Dauntless and reuniting with her father and Norrington, who agrees to rescue Will when Elizabeth accepts his proposal. Jack and Norrington plot an assault on the pirates with Jack going in to lure them out, but the plan goes awry when Barbossa sends his crew underwater to assassinate the Dauntless' crew. Elizabeth escapes the Dauntless alone, freeing Jack’s crew from the Pearl, and ventures to the island to rescue Will.

Jack and Barbossa duel, but when Barbossa runs Jack through, he is revealed to be cursed too, having taken a piece of gold from Cortez’s chest. Jack shoots Barbossa, with Will revealing the curse has been lifted by fulfilling the blood ritual, and Barbossa drops dead. A short time later, Jack faces a public hanging, but Will attempts to rescue him. The two are captured, but when Elizabeth defends them both, Jack escapes aboard the Black Pearl. Governor Swann pardons Will and gives his blessing for Elizabeth to marry him. In a post-credits scene, Barbossa’s pet monkey Jack regains immortality by stealing a piece of gold from the chest.

Resumo

Donovan, who is entrusted with negotiating the release of Francis Gary Powers—a pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union—in exchange for Rudolf Abel, a captive Soviet KGB spy held under the custody of the United States. The name of the film refers to the Glienicke Bridge, which connects Potsdam with Berlin, where the spy exchange took place.

Plot

In Brooklyn, New York, in 1957, Rudolf Abel retrieves a secret message from a park bench and reads it just before FBI agents burst into his rented room. He prevents discovery of the message, but other evidence in the room leads to his arrest and prosecution as a Soviet spy.

After Abel refuses to cooperate with the U.S. government, they have him tried, but want it to appear to be "a fair trial" so that the Soviet Union cannot use it for propaganda. James B. Donovan, an insurance lawyer with experience in criminal law, is assigned to defend Abel. Donovan takes his work seriously, although no one - including his family, his firm, the prosecuting attorneys and the judge - expects or wants him to do so. As news of him defending Abel is put on newspapers, Donovan is treated with disdain in public places. By contrast, Abel is impressed by Donovan's determination and professionalism, as well as his kindness.

At the hearing, Abel is found guilty of all charges. Before the sentencing, Donovan meets the judge and argues against sentencing Abel to death, observing that Able could serve as "an insurance" should an U.S. spy be captured by the USSR. The judge is apparently dismissive but - in the end - sentences Abel to 30 years imprisonment, to the public's shock and anger. Hate mails are sent to Donovan's office and on one occasion, shots are fired at his home. Nevertheless, Donovan appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court to reduce the sentence, on the ground that the evidence presented by the prosecution is tainted by an invalid search warrant, but his appeal is denied. Back in Manhattan, Donovan finds his own partner at the firm is turning his back on him.

In the meantime, Francis Gary Powers goes on a U-2 spy plane sortie over the Soviet Union, where his shot down and captured. He is convicted and subjected to interrogation. The USSR sends a backchannel message to Donovan, proposing a prisoner exchange: Abel for Powers. Determined to see things through, Donovan agrees to handle negotiations. As the USSR doesn't want to admit Abel is their spy, the exchange is to take place in East Germany.

Frederic Pryor, an American economics graduate student, visits his German girlfriend in East Berlin just as the Berlin Wall is being built. He tries to bring her back into West Berlin, but is stopped by border guards, arrested and labeled an American spy. Donovan tells his wife that he is going on a fishing trip to England, and travels to West Berlin, accompanied by CIA agents.

Donovan goes alone to the Soviet Embassy in East Berlin, and meets Ivan Schischkin, who claims to be Second Secretary at the Embassy; Donovan's CIA handler explains that he is actually the KGB's chief in Western Europe. Schischkin wants Abel released first, and Powers released several months after, but Donovan insists on a simultaneous release. Donovan also wants Pryor released as well, but Schischkin informs him that Pryor is held by the German Democratic Republic. Donovan begins to understand that the interests of the USSR and GDR do not overlap. The USSR wants Abel back, while the GDR wants to be recognized as a nation and an ally to the USSR. As a result, both wants Abel for themselves. Donovan meets Vogel, a GDR lawyer who supposedly represents Abel's family, and arranged to exchange Abel for Pryor.

Although the CIA is interested only in Powers' return, it allows Donovan to negotiate for Pryor as well as long as the Abel-for-Powers deal is not jeopardized. Schischkin informs Donovan that the USSR agrees with him, and sets the exchange on the Glienicke Bridge. However, Vogel pulls out of the negotiation after finding out about the deal Donovan made with the USSR. Donovan is contacted by Vogel's superior, Harald Ott, East German Attorney General, and goes to his office despite the CIA agents' protest. Donovan suggests the 2-for-1 deal, and Ott bluntly refuses and sends him out. Via his secretary, Donovan sends a message to Ott. He states that the US wants both Pryor and Powers for Abel, or the entire deal will be scrapped. Abel may talk, and the USSR would blame East Germany for refusing to give up Pryor. At the end of the day, the GDR calls and accepts the deal.

At the Glienicke Bridge, Donovan meets the grateful Abel. On the other side, Powers appears, but Pryor is to be released at Checkpoint Charlie, not the bridge. Both side urge each other to finish the deal, but Donovan wants to wait for confirmation that Pryor is released first. Out of gratitude, Abel agrees to wait with him. Eventually, Pryor is taken to Checkpoint Charlie, and Abel is exchanged for Powers on the bridge.

An exhausted Donovan arrives at home from the "fishing trip" and goes upstairs. As his family watch TV, they are stunned to learn that Donovan helped facilitate the release of Abel, Powers and Pryor. His wife Mary goes upstairs and finds him sound asleep.

O filme é baseado no romance de 2011 de Andy Weir The Martian, que Drew Goddard adaptou em um roteiro. Damon interpreta um astronauta que é erroneamente dado como morto e que ficou para trás em Marte. O filme retrata a sua luta pela sobrevivência e a dos outros esforços para resgatá-lo. O elenco do filme também conta com Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Jeff Daniels, Michael Peña, Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Sebastian Stan, Aksel Hennie, e Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Resumo

A tripulação da missão Ares III a Marte está explorando a Acidalia Planitia em Marte, dia solar (sol) 18 da expedição 31-sol. Uma tempestade de poeira obriga-os a regressar ao seu navio orbitando Hermes "Durante a evacuação, o astronauta Mark Watney (Matt Damon) é atingido por detritos e se perdeu na tempestade. A última telemetria do seu terno indica que não há sinais de vida. The Martian is a 2015 American science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Matt Damon. The film depicts his struggle to survive and others' efforts to rescue him. Plot

The crew of the Ares III manned mission to Mars is exploring the Acidalia Planitia on Martian solar day (sol) 18 of their 31-sol expedition. A dust storm forces them to return to their orbiting vessel Hermes." During the evacuation, astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is struck by debris and lost in the storm; the last telemetry from his suit indicates no signs of life. With the remaining crew in peril, mission commander Melissa Lewis gives the order to launch the Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV) without him.

Watney awakens after the storm due to low oxygen warning, and makes his way to the "Hab", the crew's base of operations on Mars. He removes a piece of antenna from his torso and suit's biomonitor, which caused the erroneous life-sign readings, and begins a video diary. He realizes that his only chance of rescue is the arrival of the Ares IV crew at the Schiaparelli crater, 3,200 kilometers away, in four years. Calculating that he has enough food to last only 300 sols (roughly 309 days), Watney, a botanist, improvises a farm with Martian soil fertilized with vacuum-packed toilet waste, water produced by extracting hydrogen from leftover rocket fuel then oxidized by burning, and potatoes saved for a Thanksgiving meal. He begins to modify the only functional rover to make long journeys across Mars.

Reviewing satellite photos of Mars, mission director Vincent Kapoor and satellite planner Mindy Park realize Watney has survived. Despite the objections of Hermes flight director Mitch Henderson, NASA administrator Teddy Sanders decides not to inform the Ares III crew, believing it would distract them from their mission.

Watney takes the rover to retrieve the Pathfinder probe, which fell silent in 1997. Using the lander's camera, he establishes rudimentary communication with the JPL team. NASA instructs Watney to modify the rover to link with Pathfinder so they can communicate via text. Watney is angry that the crew has not been told of his survival, and Sanders authorizes Henderson to inform them.

Henderson and JPL director Bruce Ng formulate a plan to send a space probe to Mars and resupply Watney with enough food to survive until Ares IV's arrival. When the Hab airlock explosively decompresses, destroying Watney's crop, Sanders orders the team to accelerate the supply mission by skipping safety inspections. The supply probe explodes after liftoff.

The China National Space Administration (CNSA) offers NASA the Taiyang Shen, a classified booster that can carry a payload to Mars. Meanwhile, JPL astrodynamicist Rich Purnell determines a trajectory to send Hermes back to Mars more quickly, using the Chinese booster to instead resupply it for an additional eighteen months. Sanders rejects the plan, refusing to risk the crew, but Henderson surreptitiously sends the details to Hermes. Lewis and her crew vote unanimously to execute the plan, and NASA—powerless to stop them—proceeds with the resupply as Hermes flies by Earth, using its gravity to slingshot them back to Mars.

After 461 sols, Watney begins the 90-sol journey to Schiaparelli crater, where the Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV) for the Ares IV mission previously landed. To rendezvous with Hermes' fly-by, Watney makes drastic modifications to reduce its mass, removing equipment including the windows, nose cone, and exterior panels. With Watney on board the gutted MAV, the Hermes crew launches it remotely, but not at the planned speed and distance. Hermes uses its maneuvering thrusters to change course and explosive decompression of its own internal atmosphere to adjust its speed. Lewis uses a Manned Maneuvering Unit, propelled by nitrogen gas, to approach Watney's vessel, but cannot reach him. Watney pierces the glove of his pressure suit and uses the escaping air as a miniature thruster to reach Lewis. The crew is reunited as crowds around the world cheer the news.

After returning to Earth, Watney begins a new life as a survival instructor for new astronaut candidates. Five years later, on the occasion of the Ares V mission launch, those involved in Watney's rescue have returned to their lives or begun new lives.

At recess, Jess enters a running event, for which he had been training at home. Leslie also enters and manages to beat all the boys, much to Jess' irritation. On the way home, Jess and Leslie learn that they are next-door neighbors.

Later in the evening, Jess becomes frustrated when he finds that May Belle has drawn in his notebook, but his strict yet caring father (Robert Patrick) sides with her. He later watches them gardening together, disappointed that his father does not spend time with him. The next day at school, Leslie compliments Jess' drawing ability after seeing his notebook, and they soon become friends. After school, they venture into the woods and swing across a creek on a rope. Jess and Leslie find an abandoned tree house on the other side, and invent a new world, which they call Terabithia. The fantasy world, which is a reflection on their lives, comes to life through their eyes as they explore the surroundings. For the next few days, Jess and Leslie spend their free time in the tree house getting to know each other.

Leslie gives Jess an art kit on his birthday, much to his delight. Jess becomes angry with his father's attitude towards him, and refuses the existence of Terabithia the next day at school. Afterwards, Jess apologizes to Leslie by giving her a puppy, whom she names Prince Terrien. Once in Terabithia, they fight with various creatures, including a troll resembling Janice. At school, Leslie becomes frustrated by Janice's fee for using the toilet. Jess and Leslie play a prank on Janice, and she becomes the laughing stock of everyone on the bus. Once Leslie's parents finish their book, she and Jess help paint their house. Jess is impressed by her parents' happiness, and smiles as he watches their family. At school, Leslie discovers that Janice gets hit by her father, and they become friends. Jess tells Leslie that his father is always mad at him. Jess and Leslie take P.T. to Terabithia, where they fight off several creatures resembling students at their school. They decide to go home, and Jess smiles as Leslie runs away.

The next morning, Ms. Edmunds (Zooey Deschanel), Jess' music teacher, calls to invite him on a one-on-one field trip to an art museum. Jess tries to ask his mother's permission; however, she is half-asleep and he takes her mumbling as approval. Jess doesn't ask Leslie to accompany him, and merely looks at her house as they drive by. When he returns home, Jess finds that his father and mother are worried sick because they didn't know where he was. His father tells him that Leslie had died that morning while trying to swing across the rain-swollen creek.

The following day, Jesse and his parents visit the Burke family home to pay their respects. Leslie's father, Bill Burke (Latham Gaines), tells Jess that she loved him, and thanks him for being a very good friend to her, since she had trouble making friends at her old school. Jess feels overwhelming guilt for Leslie's death, but his father consoles him to keep their friendship alive for her sake.

Jess decides to re-imagine Terabithia and builds a bridge across the river to welcome a new ruler. He invites his sister, May Belle to enter Terabithia; she is delighted because she was previously denied any opportunity to enter. She and Jess bring back Terabithia in even greater splendor, with Jess as king and his sister as princess.

Plot

In 1982, 13-year-old friends Sam Brenner and Will Cooper visit the local video game arcade, where Brenner discovers he can master the games there with little prior knowledge. Participating in the video game championships, he loses to obnoxious arcade player Eddie Plant in "Donkey Kong." After that, a videocassette with footage of the event is included in a time capsule that is launched into space.
In the present, Brenner has become an installer of home-theater systems while Cooper is the President of the United States. InGuam, a U.S. military base is attacked by UFOs that turn pieces of the base into small glowing cubes; one of the soldiers is abducted. Brenner, working at the home of recent divorcée Violet Van Patten and her son Matty, is summoned to the White House. To his surprise, he finds Violet is headed to the same place and that she is a lieutenant colonel. Viewing the video footage, Brenner says it was carried out like in the old video game Galaga but is laughed out of the room. Later, Ludlow "The Wonder Kid" Lamansoff, a friend he made at the video game tournament, takes Brenner to his home and shares his conspiracy theories; they determine that the aliens are attacking with creatures based on classic video-game designs, since the aliens found the videocassette images to be a declaration of war. This is affirmed when the aliens interrupt a television broadcast with images of celebrities from the 1980s and challenge Earth to assemble their mightiest warriors to fight; if the aliens win three rounds, they will conquer the Earth. Though they and Cooper determine that the next attack will happen in India, they are too late to stop it as Arkanoid paddles sling balls of light to destroy theTaj Mahal, and another person is abducted.
Brenner and Ludlow train Navy SEAL soldiers to play the old games. Violet shows Brenner and Ludlow that the cubes can be destroyed by strong light beams, and has the military develop light cannons. The next attack is in London in the form of the video game Centipede. As the soldiers are unable to beat them, Brenner and Ludlow step in and shoot down the centipedes. Following the victory, the aliens send a congratulatory message and a "trophy" in the form of the dog from Duck Hunt, only it remains uncollected by them for the rest of the movie.
Ludlow and Cooper retrieve Eddie, who is serving a prison sentence for fraud. Cooper agrees to pardon Eddie (and set up a meeting between the latter and Serena Williams) in exchange for his help. In New York City, the team discovers it must face the title character from Pac-Man and in order to succeed, they must defeat him three times, as if a player loses the game. Violet presents them with four Mini Cooper cars based on the Pac-Man ghosts, to be driven by Brenner, Ludlow, Eddie and a fourth driver who happens to be the game's creator, Toru Iwatani. However, when Iwatani tries to appeal to Pac-Man as a son, he gets his hand bitten off and runs away. Eddie defeats Pac-Man twice but accidentally drives into the East River. Brenner eventually achieves the third defeat, and the team gets Q*Bert as a trophy. The team celebrates but the aliens send a message saying someone cheated and the contest for the planet has been forfeited. Matty discovers Eddie used a speed cheat. Eddie flees, but Matty is abducted by the aliens. Q*Bert then reveals that the aliens were peaceful until the capsule came to their planet.
The aliens launch a massive attack using characters from all sorts of classic video games on Washington, D.C. Cooper joins the team, while Ludlow stays to fight. An alien takes the form of Lady Lisa, a character on whom Ludlow has had a crush since childhood. Ludlow persuades Lady Lisa to choose love, and she sides with the humans; Eddie, wishing to make amends, returns to fight as well. Brenner, Violet, Cooper and Q*Bert are summoned to the mother ship where they face Donkey Kong on the game's starting level with the aliens' captives at the top. As the group dodges barrels and fireballs, Brenner eventually throws his hammer to defeat Donkey Kong. The aliens' characters then self-destruct.
The team is hailed as heroes and a peace agreement is reached with the aliens. Although Ludlow is saddened that Lady Lisa is gone, Q*Bert transforms its likeness to Lady Lisa. Brenner and Violet become a couple, while Eddie gets to meet Serena Williams again, along with Martha Stewart. Also, Iwatani's hand is restored. A year later, Lady Lisa and Ludlow are married and have Q*Bert children.

Plot

In 19th century England, Colonel Darcy (Sam Riley) travels to the home of a wealthy family to investigate rumors of a newly infected zombie. He arrives at the home and sits with the family before taking out a small vial containing carrion flies as a means to detect the undead (as they are attracted to dead flesh). The flies land on the house's patriarch, whose eyes turn red. Darcy breaks a glass and stabs the man in the throat before decapitating him. One of the young girls in the house retreats upstairs to check on the niece of the recently dispatched zombie. She discovers the niece devouring a servant; the niece then proceeds to attack her, and then they both kill everyone in the house.
The Bennet sisters - Elizabeth (Lily James), Jane (Bella Heathcote), Kitty (Suki Waterhouse), Lydia (Ellie Bamber), and Mary (Millie Brady) - have all been sent to China by their father to learn in the art of weaponry and martial arts. Mrs. Bennet (Sally Phillips) wants her daughters to be married off to wealthy suitors. As it turns out, the Bingley family has moved in nearby and are throwing a ball, wherein Mrs. Bennet hopes that the young and handsome Mr. Bingley (Douglas Booth) will win over one of her girls. Elizabeth, on the other hand, doesn't want to seek a husband.
The Bennets attend the ball. Bingley instantly sets his eyes on Jane. Darcy is in attendance and takes notice of Elizabeth, but he makes comments that she is unappealing, which Elizabeth overhears. She walks outside tearfully and encounters Mrs. Featherstone (Dolly Wells), now a zombie. Mrs. Featherstone converses with Elizabeth, before she is killed by Darcy. A horde of zombies then attack the party, prompting the Bennet sisters to spring into action. As they slay every zombie in their path, Darcy instantly becomes smitten with Elizabeth when he witnesses her in combat.
The Bingley sisters invite Jane over for tea at Netherfield. Mrs. Bennett forces her to go on horseback, thinking she will be invited to stay overnight due the oncoming rainstorm. While on the ride, Jane encounters a zombie and fires her gun. The gun backfires leaving a bite-like wound on her hand. She kills it but then spots a zombie woman with her child. Jane hesitates and is attacked by the zombie. At Netherfield, Darcy orders her confined to her room, in fear that she may have been bitten. Elizabeth arrives at the home to care for Jane. While in Jane's room, Darcy releases his flies to detect a zombie, but Elizabeth catches each fly with her hand and returns them to Darcy.
After Jane recovers, the sisters attend another ball thrown by the Bingleys. There, Elizabeth meets a soldier named Mr. Wickham (Jack Huston), who seems to be charming and polite. He tells Elizabeth that he has had a history with Darcy and does not wish to further challenge him. Another group of zombies attack the party, resulting in Bingley injuring himself, and Darcy joining Elizabeth in fighting the horde. The Bennets are visited by Parson Collins (Matt Smith), who intends to marry one of the sisters. He initially sets his eyes on Jane, though he is told that she is with Bingley. He later tries to seduce Elizabeth, and proposes to her, but states that she must give up her life as a warrior, something that she adamantly refuses to do. Mr. Collins later decides to settle with Elizabeth's friend Charlotte (Aisling Loftus).
Elizabeth travels with Wickham to the In-Between (an area outside of walled-in London but inside a royal moat) to a church where some zombies live and worship, while feeding on pig brains to keep them from going completely savage, which would occur if they ate human brains. Wickham wants Elizabeth to join him in helping the zombies. He also suggests that she run away with him, but she remains conflicted. Elizabeth and Wickham then meet with Darcy's aunt, Lady Catherine de Bourgh (Lena Headey), a notorious zombie killer with major authority and wealth, to try and persuade her to come to peace with the more "civilized" zombies who do not eat human brains. Darcy and his aunt blatantly refuse. When she arrives home, Elizabeth is told that Darcy has convinced the Bingleys to move away. When Darcy approaches Elizabeth with a proposal of his own, she expresses her outrage at his actions and fights him in a duel. Elizabeth gets the upper hand, and Darcy leaves.
Darcy writes Elizabeth a letter to apologize for his actions and to state that he separated Jane and Bingley for fear that Jane only wanted to marry Bingley for his wealth, having overheard Mrs. Bennet drunkenly mention it. Darcy also mentions that Wickham had tried to elope with Darcy's fifteen-year-old sister for her fortune. Darcy's letter states that he is battling zombies in London, and that they have overrun the walled city. Elizabeth is then cornered by Lady Catherine and her bodyguard Wilhelm (Ryan Oliva). Catherine knows that Elizabeth and Darcy have developed an attraction toward one another, yet she still wants Darcy to marry her sickly daughter, Anne. Wilhelm attacks Elizabeth, but she claws his face and fights him off, causing him to get crushed under a pile of bricks. Catherine decides to protect Elizabeth's family and takes them to her estate. Wickham ran off with Elizabeth's youngest sister, and she must go rescue her.
Elizabeth joins Darcy in London and helps him battle the undead. Darcy encounters Wickham at the old church and rescues Elizabeth's sister. While fighting Wickham, he impales him and reveals a bite mark on his chest, revealing Wickham was undead all along. Before Wickham can kill Darcy, Elizabeth rides in and chops his arm off and knocks him unconscious. Darcy rides with Elizabeth across the bridge as the army destroys the last remaining bridge to keep the zombies trapped within the In-between on the inside of the moat. Darcy is injured in the explosion and is rendered unconscious. Elizabeth tearfully admits her love for him. After Darcy recovers, he finds Elizabeth and tells her that he heard what she said on the bridge. They share their first kiss and agree to marry. The two have a joint wedding with Bingley and Jane, officiated by Parson Collins. In a mid-credits scene, the now one-armed Wickham is leading the zombies toward them, ready for war.

Plot

Mild-mannered radio executive Brad (Will Ferrell) struggles to be a good stepfather to his wife Sara's (Linda Cardellini) two children, Megan and Dylan, and is seemingly impotent after an accident to his testicles some years ago. The children begin to grow closer to Brad, with Dylan confiding in him that he is being picked on at school and Megan asking him to take her to a father/daughter dance at her school. One night, the kids biological father Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) calls, and discovers that Sara has remarried. He subsequently and suddenly announces he will be visiting the next day. Sara is hesitant about her former husband being in their home, but Brad convinces her that it is important for the kids that their father and stepfather establish boundaries with each other.

When Dusty arrives, Brad is immediately intimidated by his more attractive and muscular appearance, and how he easily gets along with Megan and Dylan - however, Dusty continually charms Brad into letting him stay, despite Sara protesting about the kind of man that Dusty really is. Brad soon wises up when it becomes clear that Dusty intends to drive Brad out of his kids' lives and reconcile with Sara. After multiple instances of Dusty showing Brad up - including getting the kids a dog, finishing a treehouse that Brad wanted to build with Dylan, and attempting to drive a wedge between Brad and Sara by taking them to a fertility doctor (Bobby Cannavale), hoping that Brad's inability to give Sara a baby will send her into Dusty's arms, the two men appear to reach an understanding after working together to teach Dylan how to defend himself. Additionally, Brad and Sara are overjoyed to learn that Brad's sperm count has increased significantly (implied to be a result of Dusty "invading his territory"), giving them hope of having a child together.

However, Brad is stunned when Dusty reveals that he still intends to drive Brad out of the family. Desperate, Brad spends tens of thousands of dollars on early Christmas gifts, including a pony and 17,000 dollar seats at a basketball game. At the game, Dusty once again shows Brad up by revealing himself to be friends with the coach to Dylan's favorite team, and an enraged Brad begins drinking heavily. During half-time, Brad is chosen to try to shoot a basketball to win a prize. Drunk, Brad goes on a rant about Dusty before accidentally pelting a cheerleader and a disabled child in a wheelchair in the face with basketballs. Sara kicks Brad out of the house; however, when Dusty tries to comfort her, she rejects him, and forces him to step up as a dad to help his kids with their busy schedules.

Four days later, Brad is living in his office at work, depressed. Dusty, meanwhile, is overwhelmed by the many responsibilities of being a full time father. When Dusty decides to call it quits and leave on the day of Megan's father-daughter dance, his friend Griff (Hannibal Buress) goes to Brad and convinces him to fight for his family. Brad catches Dusty at the airport and tries to get him to come back. Dusty admits that he cannot handle the hard parts about being a father, and admires Brad for putting up with all the things that he has to go through. Brad says that all of the terrible parts about being a dad is worth it, because in the end he is doing it for his kids. This convinces Dusty to go to the dance, and he and Brad arrive together. There, they discover that the classmate who was picking on Dylan at school is a girl, and almost get into a fight with her father when Dylan physically retaliates. However, Dusty finally decides to follow Brad's lead on being a father, and instead quells the fight by starting a dance-off. Brad and Sara reconcile, and Dusty decides to stay and be a good "co-dad" to his kids.

Later, the whole family is happy; Brad and Sara have a new baby boy named after Griff, and Megan and Dylan have finally accepted Brad as their stepfather. Dusty has moved in across the street, and he and Brad are now friends. Dusty ends up getting remarried to a woman with a daughter, becoming a stepfather himself. In a bit of irony, Dusty is now in the exact same position that he put Brad in a year ago - at odds with his stepdaughter's incredibly intimidating biological father, Roger (John Cena).

Enquanto isso, na ilha, Dave demonstra sua maneira de transformar geneticamente os pinguins em monstros horríveis como um esforço para tornar os seres humanos revoltados neles como vingança.

Skipper e classificados argumentam sobre os melhores meios para resgatar os cativos e parar Dave, fixando-se sobre o plano de um ataque frontal de classificados. O vento norte consegue encurralar Dave em sua toca apenas para ser capturado pelos capangas de Dave, bem como os outros pingüins. The Film

Penguins of Madagascar is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated action comedy adventure film, produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is a spin-off of the Madagascar film series, and takes place right after the events of Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, following the penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private in their own adventure. Apart from the main characters, it is unrelated to the TV series of the same name.

Plot

In Antarctica, three young penguins – Skipper, Kowalski, and Rico – defy the laws of nature to save an egg the other penguins believe to be doomed. After saving it from a pack of leopard seals and accidentally setting themselves adrift on an iceberg, the egg hatches into Private.

Ten years later (after the events of the previous film), the penguins decide to leave the circus to celebrate Private's birthday by breaking into Fort Knox in order to treat him to a discontinued snack called "Cheezy Dibbles" in the vending machine of their break room. Despite this, Private begins to feel out of place with the team, as he is described as being the "secretary/mascot". Suddenly, they are abducted by the machine and sent to Venice, Italy by Dr. Octavius Brine, a renowned geneticist who removes his human disguise and reveals he is actually an octopus named Dave, who has grown resentful of penguins after their nature of cuteness had shunned him out of every major zoo in the world.

Rico swallows Dave's collection of snowglobes along with a canister of a green substance called the Medusa Serum before the four escape and are chased through the canals and streets of Venice by Dave's henchmen. When cornered, they are rescued by a group of animals from an Arctic elite undercover interspecies task force agency called "North Wind" consisting of their leader, a gray wolf whose name is classified, (Skipper mistakenly refers to him as "Classified" throughout the entire film) a harp seal demolitionist named Short Fuse, a polar bear named Corporal, and an intelligent snowy owl named Eva with whom Kowalski is instantly smitten. Their mission is to help animals who can't help themselves.

At their hideout, their communication systems are hacked by Dave, who reveals that he has an enormous supply of the Medusa Serum and that he intends to capture the penguins out of every zoo he was kicked out of. Not wanting the penguins' help, Classified sends the group to their most remote base (which happens to be on Madagascar) but the penguins awaken midflight and crash land in the Sahara Desert before making their way to Shanghai, which they mistake for Dublin, Ireland. Discovering Dave's next target in Shanghai, the penguins ship themselves to their current location and make their way to the zoo. Disguising himself as a mermaid-tailed penguin (a tourist attraction) to distract Dave from his real target, Private himself is captured along with the Shanghai penguins after the North Wind arrives to put a stop to Dave's plan. The penguins take the North Winds' high-tech plane to give chase, but accidentally self-destruct the machine. They manage to track Private to an island though, using a device planted on him when Classified tranquilized them. Meanwhile, on the island, Dave demonstrates his way to genetically mutate the penguins into hideous monsters as an effort to make humans disgusted in them as revenge.

Skipper and Classified argue on the best means to rescue the captives and stop Dave, settling on Classified's plan of a frontal assault. The North Wind manages to corner Dave at his lair only to be captured by Dave's henchmen as well as the other penguins. Dave demonstrates his disfiguring ray at full power on Private, apparently disintegrating him with the beam, but unbeknownst to them he escapes at the last minute by using a paper clip he swallowed earlier. Private rescues the North Wind members, who want to regroup, but Private, not wanting to leave anyone behind goes to stop Dave. As Dave's submarine docks at New York with the promise of returning the penguins he found to the zoo, he turns the ray on the rest of the penguins, mutating them all into hideous monsters. The city erupts into chaos as the brainwashed, mutated penguins run amok on the terrified human crowd. Getting the senses back into Skipper, Kowalski and Rico, they decide to connect the cute Private into the ray to return them to normal. They turn all the penguins back to normal in one huge blast.

Private is left mutated from the machine while the rest of the penguins are restored to normal. Despite his strange new look, the Penguins show their gratitude and newfound respect for Private. Dave (who caught in the blast) has been turned into a pipsqueak version of himself and is trapped in a snow globe where he is admired by a little girl. Finally seeing one another as equals, Classified promises to grant the Penguins anything they want. In addition to Kowalski getting a kiss from Eva, the Penguins are given their own jetpacks and they then fly off above the clouds looking for their next adventure.

In a mid-credits scene, the Penguins return to the circus and plug Mort into the ray and use him to revert Private back to normal. Mort does not appear to show any side effects from the ray until he manages to swallow King Julien whole, much to King Julien's delight.
